That's what I said, my boss dictates that we wear black socks under out uniforms which are a dark gray color. But here is the thing, NO ONE sees my socks. So why the heck does it matter. Just like my undershirt being required to be white, what the heck does it matter? No one will ever see it except myself and my fiancé anyway and I'm sorry but I like to wear my black muscle shirts for her. ;) She likes them too.

I have to dress very business conservative at my work. Which requires balck dress socks. Now that's all I own. And what the heck is with, putting two socks in the washer and dryer and only one coming out, or worse still, three coming out?!

Larken85

it's not considered manly anywhere. at least as far as i know.

then again, it's not considered very 'adult' to wear toe socks. I've had people take issue with the fact that i refuse to wear plain colored socks. told me that i needed to grow up and I'd never get away with it in a professional setting. like anyone CARES what socks I'm wearing.

I love toe socks. Heath thanks for the advice.. I sent it to my baby.. she's better today. I think graduating from college is kind of scary for her... She will probably go on to grad school. I told her wait a year. Bella thanks. :)

Re-donk-ya-lous...

Funny, I keep hearing it. I used it the other day and since then I have heard it at least 12 times. I hadn't heard it for so long that I just thought it was a saying of the past. Then I say it and now I hear it everywhere. I know I didn't start it back up but its just crazy how that happens. Like all humans are on the same wave-link or something.

Aurora_Bell
Apr 12, 2010, 05:06 PM
That happens to me all the time. Especially with the Simpsons. I will quote something from a show, or think about a certain episiode, that night I see that Simpsons. Weird eh?

There ain't nothing wrong with toe socks. Who's really going to see what's under your shoes? I exclusively wear toe socks with boots and 80% of my shoes are boots. Darn, I have a onsie. That's right guys, footie pj's. They're pink with guitars on them. Thanks Target.

I hear that!
Are they going to hold the class again? Can you pre register? Why are they canceling it?

I feel really awful, there is this amazing dog at the shelter where I volunteer, and he is starting to go cage crazy, he has been there for 2 months now.

Usually it takes a bit longer. He gets a lot of one on one time, and has even spent the week ends with foster families, and they had nothing but great stuff to say about him. He is a really big dog, and we are having a hard time finding him the right match. Now I have to report his strange behaviour, and it's going to be even harder to find him a family.

He is (was) so well behaved, he is so gentel and affectionate. But last night when I went there to let him out and to go for a walk, he barked and snapped at my hand when I went to un lock the cage.

When I got him out he was fine, but then again, when I tried to put him back in he went all crazy.

I had him loose in the shelter to walk around a bit (he loves the kitties), he wouldn't come near me, his heckels were standing straight up and he was cowering like I was going to hit him. I tried to luer him to me with treats, but he just kept backing himself into a corner and then would run around all crazy like.

I was kneeling down, and he was showing his teeth. I finally got him in his kennel, and he curled up on his pillow, gave me a little wag of the tail and just stared at me until I left.

I can take my straight-up-martini-with-queen-olives out there when I get off work and then start supper. Life is good. I am loving it ! The base price is $499, but if you want to get a protective case and cords so you can attach a camera and a couple other extras, it takes it up just a bit more than $100 extra.

Wait a year. They'll be cheaper them. Just look at the iPhone. It went from $200 to $100 in since it was introduced. The ipod's done basically the same thing. Not to mention, later generations will have more memory.

I'm a mac user, so I try to keep informed of new releases from apple, even if I know I'll never be able to afford them.

I REALLY want the new macbook pro. It has a solid aluminum uni-body casing, which means they laser cut a body out of a solid piece of aluminum so it doesn't have any seems. It's motion sensitive, and there are games for it that require you to tip and turn the computer to play them. The keyboard and sleep light are light sensitive and light up to just the right level for the room it's in, which means you can type in the dark and the keys won't be glaringly bright.

Darn man letting the fuel tank go completely empty and breaking the fuel pump. It's been like this for around 7 weeks now. It's getting old. :(

Couch! I love getting new furniture. What color, material, size, where are you putting it. In other words, details, I want them. :)

Hubby would want the best that money can buy. He's one of those guys. ;)

Well, the mac is the best, at least as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I'm biased. I've owned exactly one computer, and it's my mac. When it finally dies, I'll get a new mac. This one should have several years left in it, though.

I would like a Mac too.

The couch is dark brown micro fiber and leather, it's 6ft, and I am putting it up against my yellow wall. Brb, I'll go take a pic! New camera too!

Dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die
Till you die , oh till you die.

Crap, it's in my head!!

Time to boogie my butt upstairs to make dinner omelettes. :)

Try adjusting the white balance in your camera's settings. Set it for indoor, or something similar. Take the same picture with different settings to see which works best for you.

Wow. That is a camera with all the bells and whistles.

I have a little canon powershot. It's three years old, and has been acting up for more than a year. I really want to get a new one, I even have one picked out. I just don't have the money.

Optio W90 Black - Official PENTAX Imaging Web Site (http://www.pentaximaging.com/digital-camera/Optio_W90_Black/)

It's $330, but it's a wet-dream for someone like me.

Pentax are awesome. I really don't need all the bells and whistles. But I'm starting to really get into photography. I've always liked it, but I am spending more time doing it now. I just got some great prints back! I think I may exchange mine for a pentax.

Ooooh, fancy.

This is what I have right now. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it hadn't started having power issues more than a year ago. It no longer works with rechargeable batteries, and it goes through regular batteries faster than it should. The flash takes FOREVER to warm up, and you can't take any pictures until it does, even if you're not using the flash. Most recently, it started needing to warm up the flash between each picture, so I can no longer taken quick snap shots.

Pretty cool camera: The DMC-FZ50 is mine. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50: Digital Photography Review (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0607/06071905panasonicfz50.asp)

Mine is an automatic camera with WAY too many manual adjustments. A close up lens would be cool. I got ripped at the coals for an illegal practice of charging separately for everything in the box. Charger, camera, SD card etc. So, when I looked for the smallest price, I got the highest rip-off.

I have to look up forced flash and what to use to determine exposure levels. It rarely needs to flash. Sometimes the flash just adds way too much light. My first set of pic, Kodak Easyshare wouldn't print them. They claimed they were professional pictures and I needed a release. It was of a private 2 room Lithuanian museum in a convent. It can take some fantastic pics, but getting the best pic requires some twiddling.

That's a pretty cool camera too KISS , the reason I got the TZ7 was it's compactness for travelling , but it still has the 12x zoom which is great.

And "simple" mode is just so... uhmmm... simple :)

Striclty speaking about his movies, I loved Annie Hall. I loved most of what I saw from Woody Allen.

Yes, Annie Hall was great, but some of his stuff is just plain weird. Have you seen a pic of him lately ? He is such a sad old guy still making movies.

Ya I have seen some recent pic's. Lol. My mother doesn't understand why I like him either.

I guess it's because I have a passion for film, and I really liked the creativity in his films.

Can't say I am such a fan of his new stuff, but not liking him personally it doesn't really bother me one way or another.

I still like his classics. I can watch Annie Hall at least once a month and still get a good laugh out of it.

OMG Hheath alty cat is so freaking cute! Any pics of Aura?
