I want to evict my son from my house, thre is no written contract between us so I figure a 30 day notice is best. Am I right?

Thanks, CA has so many laws that differ from the rest of the states I just wondered.

For it to be legal, it has to be written and it has to be received in a timely manner. The law does NOT designate HOW delivery must be made.
Certainly, if you were to DO this, try to get a signature on your copy as a receipt. If you can't, document the circumstances of the delivery...
