Furnace had bad exhaust fan and blower motor fans. Replaced both and furnace runs for about two minutes then the flames shut off the fans run and in about five minutes they reignite and it repeats this process.

I do not know why they both went out at the same time. I was very curious of this myself as motors, as far as I know, do not work as a couple!

I suspect water damage may have been in the home prior to the fellow congegational member asking us to look at his furnace. I also cleaned the sensor and it had no effect. The folks at the place whom vendor the furnace believes that there may be a chimney blockage and causing the high range limit to kick the furnace off.

The furnace runs for a minute, then it shuts off the flame as though someone turned off a switch. The house has two chimneys and only one is used by this furnace. It may be clogged,
