Generally you can go on vacation, but if there is a order of contempt, then you may be constrained from traveling.

And of course this will look good in court when they take you back for non payment and you can explain spending money on travel outside US on vacation and not paying back child support

Also where are you traveling, Mexico or Canada or another nation where you may need a visa ?

How far behind are you on child support ? That's the real question. Simply oweing support and being current is no restrictions but if you owe ( arrears ) then its possible your movement is restricted.
