So I have a Bichon Frise who is about a year and a half old. Recently she started crying for no reason. She's not in heat and we've made sure that our other dog is constantly by her side (it seems to upset her when he's not). It's gotten to the point where even when we're holding her and petting her she's still crying. She is absolutely relentless! Her constant crying and yelping is driving us insane! What should I do?

Could she be in pain? Does she cry at night? I would take her to the vet.

Alternatively, maybe you are teaching her to cry by picking her up every time she cries?

I'm not a dog expert, but pretty good with animals...

You should ask this question in the pets section.

I would get her checked out by a vet, it could be a behavioural problem or it could be medical.

My mother has a poodle who quite often yelps when you touch her and she sits there and cries moving her head around quickly, it reminds us of how a sparrow jerks it's head around... she has a neurological problem.
The vet gave her the all clear for tumours or anything else nasty so they just put up with her little 'ticks'
