Hi kids.

I'm here for a bit. Watching the storm. The power went out for a while, lit candles, watched the lighting and wind blowing, it was cool.

We're on tornado watch, but I think the worst of the storm will pass us in an hour or so.

Fun times. :)

Nothing very interesting... exploring the forum and the 'old skin'

Catsmine
Jul 19, 2009, 05:17 AM
I am not ready to try different skins, yet. I'm still learning how to operate with this one.

Unknown008
Jul 19, 2009, 05:22 AM
The old skin is cool. It's just that the reps are not displayed in posts. You'll only see them in a member's profile.

You can see who visited your own profile, make comments on their profile, add 'event reminders' these will require the agreement of a mod though. I tried and thought that I did it the wrong way, but it seems that I've sent the request to the mods twice

You can also have the calender, where you can see the birthdays of our members. For example, today, 19 July is marked with a certain number, when you put your mouse on it, it displays the members having their birthday on that date.

Make you die tired... no way!

The endorhpins flooding your body, the sense of achievement when you beat miss I'm so bloody brilliant...

I've told you a zillion times. I can't upload pictures!!! I don't have the required cable to link the camera to the puter, nor my mum's or lil sis mobile to the puter (theirs have camera). Memory card you say? neither of them use memory card. I don't have a card reader. The only way I can get pictures uploaded is that someone lends me a cable, or takes the picture for me, transfer it to his/her puter, sends it to me, then I upload. But few (or none) would say:

"I'll take a picture of your dog!"

I would seriously love to take pictures of my dog and post it. It's just impossible for me for the time being. :(:(:(:(

Unky were you saying here that you basically can't post pics?
Ha ha Just picking.

Well, see, my favorite types of movies, are the lifetime movies and the romantic movies and such (I like ALL kinds of movies but those are my favorite)

And I had seen a couple movies when I was younger about an american woman meeting and marrying a middle eastern man, and (in the movie) it seems to me that these men are far more responsible than american men, and I am a bit... ok a LOT of a MALE chauvinist (im a girl :P just a weird one) and I like the type of man/woman relationship in the middle east, where the man makes the decisions and takes care of his family, and my only job would be to cook clean raise my kids and care for my husband. (and in china and japan as well) (not to mention I find middle eastern men to be quite attractive.. )

Lets be honest here, in america, its hard to find a man like that, unless he is this way due to a BDSM lifestyle.

Wow, that would not work for me at all!

I would not be able to live with a man that thought I was beneath him. As for cooking and cleaning and taking care of the kids, I'm happy to do it, but not because I have to.

When hubby and I first got married I was the bread winner, I was the career woman. When I got pregnant with Jared things changed and we both decided I'd stay home and raise him for as long as I could. It was tough losing my income, we struggled, but it was worth it in the end.

Then both my parents died and shortly thereafter I got pregnant with Sydney. At that time we could afford for me to stay home with the kids.

Now that both kids are in school I'm debating going back to my career.

If I had a husband that wasn't okay with that, one of us wouldn't survive.

It is hard. I've never been one to be idle though.

I do woodworking, I paint (oil paintings), I write. I always have something on the go, I'm not just a mom and a wife, I'm me, and I refuse to lose that.

Being a mother is the hardest job I've ever had and I've had some really hard jobs. It's been worth it. At the end of the summer it's time to get back into the adult world. My kids are in school from 8:30am until 3:20pm, no reason for me to sit on my arse all day waiting for them to get home.

It is hard. I've never been one to be idle though.

I do woodworking, I paint (oil paintings), I write. I always have something on the go, I'm not just a mom and a wife, I'm me, and I refuse to lose that.

What kind of wood working do you do?
I would love to do clay bowls and stuff like that but its impossible right now. I don't have the room.

We have to turn this around.

What happened to the castle? Who's taking care of the duck statue? There's pigeon poo everywhere.

Who's mercedes is parked on the draw bridge?

Bad kids. I can't leave you alone for a minute. ;)

The 'pigeon poo' you are seeing Alty is the treatment against the last poo the pigeon had left. These are nearly gone though. Some more days of treatment, and the statue will be as clean and bright as if it were a brand new one! :)

Mercedes? I don't know... :(

The ones I posted were a gift for a good friend.

I have been selling other things, but so far I haven't tried to sell my tables. Every time I make one hubby falls in love with it and insists that we keep it. I have more tables in my house then anything else.

Right now I'm waiting for some extra spending money so I can buy some wood. I'm planning on selling them at home. Sort of like a garage/craft sale. I just need to build up my inventory, then I'll see how it goes. I'm crossing my fingers. This would be a great little side business, especially because I love doing it.

My parents would be shocked. My dad never even let me use a screw driver when I was growing up. ;)

Salvador is the whip I had a long time ago. I had to be awol for a while and I asked Stringer, my trusted friend, to take over. I handed him the whip with the promise to give it back when I returned.

Well, low and behold, the next day I came back, asked Stringer for my whip and he refused to return my property. He renamed my poor Salvador, had him attached to his wrist and I've been trying to get him back ever since.

Now poor Sal has been renamed Susie, he/she hangs on Stringers wall crying for his original owner.

So I'm whipless. I've tried to find a replacement, but to no avail. I need Sal, he needs me, but sadly he's trapped in Stringers house, hanging from the wall, unloved, uncared for, yearning for me.

It's a tragedy.

Yes, counseling....you are way over thinking this :).....HER name is Susy....Atly had misnamed (her). :)

Alty (um me) bought Sal, trained Sal, oiled him every night so the leather wouldn't dry up. We practiced together, we slept together, we were one.

I lent him to you for one day, one day only. You pulled off a few tassles, unmaned him and renamed him Susie.

Poor Sal. I'm sure he still dreams of the time we spent together. I'm sure he misses me as much as I miss him. :(

Our plans have a knack of getting us into trouble/banned/did I say trouble?

What we need is a sidekick, someone with charm,brains,5 months pregnat/preggers/pregnant/with child, who can make pie,

Know anyone that fits that description?

Also a cute bear may come in handy. Hmmm, where to find a cute bear?

Stringer
Jul 20, 2009, 01:16 PM

Why do you make up all these 'stories' girl? It's almost like a political 'spin'....

1. I never promised to give her back.

2. Your attempts have been feeble in getting her return, not that she even wants to leave me.

3. She has a very special, honored place in my office here at home, on the wall, with candles burning around her.

4. She always has a smile on her face, I see to that.

5. Correct, you are 'whipless' and you shall remain whipless. Susy only needs the special attention that I provide for her.

6. She expresses daily to me how she is grateful that she is free and how much she is everlastingly in my debt for freeing her from her sad past...

"Honestly, I have never been happier than I am at this moment, Stringer is so kind and gentle with me and he makes me soooo happy." -Susy

(Message obtained without any duress.)

7. It is not a tragedy, it is the saving of a lost soul.

(NO brainwashing was made in the content of any of the comments listed herein... )
