I have a Sears Coldspot (freezer on top, fridge on bottom) from 1969 that has recently begun to drip water from the ceiling of the refrigerator compartment. At first when I went to check out the problem I saw that the ceiling bends down at the back, and I was worried it had been leaking so long that it had actually bent up the top of the fridge. Fortunately, that's not the case. I checked it out further and found that the bent down spot actually has a hole in the backside that apparently serves some function of letting water drip out, and there is a small cup type thing protruding from the back of the fridge that collects it. Unfortunately, there is a lot of water collecting in the bottom of the fridge and it doesn't seem to be working correctly; either the hole is dripping too much water, or the cup for some reason is not disposing of the water the way it should. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dan

Check to see exactly where the drain line goes to the pan under the ice box (refrigerator). Then blow or clean out the line. This should allow the water to drain into the pan and solve the problem.

The problem is that I'm not sure where the drain line goes; there is a cage type thing around the back of the fridge and it also appears that the line does not come out the back anyway. The cup-type thing in front of the 'exit' out of the back of the fridge compartment may be removable, so I might be able to do something with that. If I cannot find the other end of the line, what would you recommend cleaning it out with?

Compressed air at low pressure.
