could someone please walk me trough this one...
two cards are drawn from a deck. What is he probability of them both being jacks if replacments occur?

There are 52 cards in a deck. Four of those cards are Jacks. Therefore, if you draw one card, the probability that it will be a Jack is 4/52. If you put that card back and draw another card, the probability is, again, 4/52. Since these events are independent (the probability of drawing a jack doesn't depend on whether you drew a Jack for the first draw), the probabilities multiply to get the final probability.
