I bought a used 2001 Volkswagen Beetle. The vinyl fabric (boot) around the stick shift is almost worn through. I have a new shifter boot cover and am wondering how to replace the worn one.

I don't know that car, but I've replaced one shifter boot.

1. Unscrew shift knob
2. Remove center console

Install in reverse.
