Hi, MikeEnix!
One such organization that I can think of that helps people with a criminal record to enter the workforce again would be the Safer Foundation. They do a number of things and one of the services that they provide, is to help people with convictions on their records to get jobs. I know that they operate in the Chicago, IL area and also around where I live. They may have other places they're located also. Below, is the link to their site.

If you contact them, they might know of similar organizations like themselves that are located elsewhere.
Thanks!

Yes I do truly appreciate everyone's input thanks for the info! -& that is my point percisely (I was convicted of possession w/ intent- which wasn't even the actuality of my misfortune) & now every directon I turn I am nothing less than condemed. Just to fill you in this was 7 yrs. Ago. Since then I have completed "addiction counceling" rehabilitation etc. 'which was more than most w/ less charges' & not even came close to anything that looked like trouble. Anyway I just want to have access to a job where I can uses my skilles & even pay taxes. :)
