Ok, I know a lot of people do this, but I'm going to go to a reliable source. My boyfriend and I are in a strong, healthy relationhip, and we want to take it to the next step. We want to get married, but we can't afford to have a big wedding and everything. We want to get married in a courthouse and have a real wedding when we have the money, a couple years down the road. But we're having trouble figuring out the price and requirements and everything of a courthouse wedding. Can you please help me?

Did you call the local courthouse?

First a nice wedding does not have to cost a lot, most people will never find the money for a big wedding, once married, there will aways be bills and the such to pay
For example, you don't need a 10,000 dollar dress to wear
But I have done weddings where we ask 100 dollars for use of the church building, I take a donation for me ( hopefully 50 dollars anyway) but sometimes as low as 10, and it is a lovely wedding. They do a reception at a hall, a home, or a some location, often family help cator, or they keep it small.
But a licesne will be needed, depends on state 30 to 120 dollars. Then the judge gets somewhere from 25 to 50 normally, the clerk at the court can tell you
Also many clerks have list of local pastors that will marry you in your home or on location, I do weddings at six flags, at parks and more all the time
