I had applied for a credit (care credit) with my name as the applicant and my mother as the co-applicant. The company who was running the application for me told me that I was approved for a $6500.00 credit line. When the first statement was sent out it went to my mother who naturally called me as to why she was getting the bill. I called care credit to ask why it was being sent to her as opposed to me and they told me because she was the applicant. I told them no I have the application right here in front of me and she is the co-applicant. Apparently according to care credit when the employee from the company called in the application I was not approved. She decided to switch me to the co-applicant and my mother to applicant without our knowledge or approval. Needless to say my mother was approved. I'm having a hard time getting answers from the company as to how they were able to do this. They both seem to think the fault lays with the other. I'm not really sure where to go from here and would gladly take any advice.

This is too weird because I had the same thing happen to me, and I am still trying to get answers as well. It happened to me with care credit and my husband co-signing. They put him as the ONLY person on the account, but told us differently until we received the first bill... wierd!

Sounds like to me you would be better off to switch to another card. If you have used it pay it off and if you must have a credit card switch to another one.
