Pets LOL
I love chickens... blame it on my grandpa.
If my neighbors dogs wouldn't slaughter them I would probably have 20 or so right now
The Silkie is my favorite:http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m21/rosshetherington/800px-Silky_bantam.jpg

Chicken is delicious... (I just don't eat it LOL)
But a Silkie would not be good for dinner... they are awesome parents ;) Not much meat on them LOL

Definitely dogs. I feel like a lot of maternal people are dog people. I personally like the bully breeds. =)

Does it really taste like chicken?

Wow! It's hard not to love a chicken as cool as that. Very impressive.
Alty, you're right! So your hubby and kids obviously don't react to the bunnies? You might be onto something profoundly brilliant. Bunnies for people who can't have cats. Whodathunkit? Very good idea... I'll certainly keep that in mind when I buy my beautiful fantasy farm on the hill. Dogs, bunnies, horses, cool looking chickens... :)

Depends on what you feed it. Even brands of chicken taste different. I can tell them apart if they are prepared in the same batch. I could tell there was something different about the taste, but I could not put a finger on it until I was told it was two different brands.
Yep, tastes close to chicken. The bones give it away though. Hey, the first time I had it, I was a little fella and I was told it was chicken.

Chickens are great. I keep parrots and like birds the best. All animals are wonderful though. Actually horses are my favorite, now that I think about it. I grew up with them and didn't realize how lucky I was.

I don't think it's a shock to anyone that knows me... dog person! But I love all animals. I could really do without the scaly things and the rodents though. Oh, and nothing that flies around my head. I do like birds, but it's a phobia for me, and also tiny things that scurry! Eeeekkk! I also love horses, pot bellied pigs, dolphins, and especially manatee's (my fave)

Didn't sailors develop the idea of mermaids from seeing manatees?

I don't know Simone. That's interesting though. My parents spend every winter in Florida, and right outside the backdoor of their house is the canal that leads to the Gulf. I've spent a lot of time down there over the yrs. and quite often the manatees will come swimming up, and we give them water from the garden hose and pet them. They are such sweet and gentle mammels. Sadly, some people who don't obey the rules, race down the canals, and they hurt the manatees with their propellers, because they can't move fast enough to get out of the way.
One of the last times I was there, right behind the house there was a momma Manatee and her calf. The momma had gotten cut up by a propeller, and was hurt badly, and the baby was just crying really loudly for her momma. (They make a loud squealing sound) We called some sort of Manatee preservation place, and they came with 2 helicopters, and I don't know how the heck they did it, but they hoisted momma and baby out of the water with a large net, and took them both off to their treatment center. It was very cool to watch! :)
(There are also Gators in that canal, and they come out and onto the lawn sometimes too... eeeekkk, lol)
