I am going to be offering some positions and I may want to require a degree/s.

What is the usual way an employer goes about accepting that an applicant has a degree or not?

Just accept that the applicant is telling the truth?

Asking to see the degree?

Asking to see transcripts?

Calling the university?

What usually occurs?

Different employers have different policies as regards information on a resume. Some verify everything: education, previous employers, references. Others take the resume at face value. Most will accept an official university transcript to which the degree has been posted.
