I have a dishwasher that does not drain. There is standing water at the base of the dishwasher. I contacted Drano Company regarding their product Drano Max Gel and the strongly suggested that I do not use it in the dishwasher. Any suggestions?

Is this a brand new installation or has it worked in the past? Anything else new like a disposal? Your drain line to the sink could be plugged or kinked. The pump motor is the same motor for the washing but a solenoid must kick in to change the direct or water circulation. Do any of this make sense to your situation?
