Hello all.

This is my first time and I think I'm asking in the right place.

I try to run liveupdate and this is all that happens:

The following Symantec products and components are installed on your computer.
> Firewall Program Updates
> LiveUpdate
> Norton AntiVirus
> Norton AntiVirus Virus Definitions
> Norton Internet Security Resource Updates
> Norton Internet Security program updates
> Norton Internet Security security updates
> Norton Protection Center
> Symantec Intrusion Prevention Signatures
> Symantec Security Software
> Symantec Security Software Update
> Symantec Shared Components
> Symantec Trusted Application List
> Vulnerability Assessment Program Updates

Initializing...
Connecting to liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com...

I can leave this on for hours and it never go past this screen.
Any information would help greatly.

Thanks

First, check in the Internet Options of your browser and see if Dial-up and Virtual private network settings have any settings made. The LiveUpdate process will check these settings even if you do not use them and cause a hang. [1 (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH138369)]

Next, Delete all Live Update files, and restart your computer. This should solve the problem [2 (https://solutions.symantec.com/sdccommon/asp/symcu_defcontent_view.asp?ssfromlink=true&sprt_cid=56435c71-6ef1-42e6-9ec3-b65ee25abb6d&docid=20080215111439EN)]
