How can I overcome my shyness with girls I have a lot of trouble talking to them can some one give me some advice?

My brother has this same problem and my suggestion is talk to girls you know, get used to that, and from there you'll realize that girls are girls, whether you really know them or not. It takes time but my brother seems to be doing a little better. This might sound strange but he's started talking to my friends at first and I think that's making it easier for him. Do you have any sisters? Or girl cousins? Anyone like that who could possibly introduce you to people just to get used to the idea of being around them?
