How do I place/move an icon, such as Google, to my desk top so that when I boot-up
My computer I can access the website without opening any other site such as my
Home page?

Put the icon for Google in your Startup folder.

Make Google your home page:

Open Internet Explorer
Click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS
In the Home Page section, enter http://www.google.com/
Click on OK

If you right click on the program or site you want the icon on the desktop for, and then click create shortcut.

Then, just drag the shortcut icon to your desktop and drop it where you want it.
