A 6 month old baby has two 18 year old parents. They show very little interest in him and have given temporary custody to the babies,and fathers,aunt. She has been raising him practically alone since day one. They leave all the time. Sometimes for hours or days and even a couple times for a couple weeks. They are selfish and all they want to do is run around and play. They also have repeatedly stolen all kinds of things from the aunt and other members of the family and sold them so they can"party and play". She is afraid to kick them out because she is scared that they would take the baby and we all fully believe he wouldn't be safe with them. What can she do?

She needs to document every single issue that would be cause for the parental rights to be terminated.

If she wants to gain custody or guardianship of this child, she needs to speak to a family law attorney.

I would recommend that she do so as soon as possible.

She can talk to Child Services about how to go about getting full custody.
