I am currently finishing my basement and have completed framing out the walls. Next I want to start wiring the whole basement. I have done wiring before and know the basics but I have a few questions that I need answered before I continue. I will have a media room/home theatre with a projection system and sound system. There is a bathroom and main room with lights and outlets in each room. My question is how do I figure out how many outlets to put on one circuit, do I separate the light circuit from the outlet circuit? How do I wiring the circuits? Do I run the main power for the circuit to a central junction box and branch off from there to the outlets or lights?

Not sure how to proceed.

Thanks for the help.

You say you have done wiring and know the basics. All your questions here are the basics.

I would suggest you get a few good books on home wiring before you proceed. This will give you the root knowledge you need.
