I have been with a guy for four years. He has been so good to me and my daughter and we love him to death, but once a year he wants to break up. He goes on and on about how much he loves me and about how I'm the one and then all of the sudden he can't see himself with me and we are breaking up. I noticed that this happens right around the time that the warmer weather sets in. He has gone back and forth for four years now... why is he doing this.. has he been telling me what I want to hear or is he just BiPolar? He won't give me any answers other than all of the sudden he doesn't feel excitement but, he still loves me.

If He Does This Every Year At The Same Time Then Probably Something Makes Him Sad Happened Before At That Same Tim Try To Talk To Him About It But I Think He Really Loves You I Mean He's Been With You And Your Daughter For Four Years...

Or it could be his way of just having a summer fling and not feeling guilty, I'd follow him. A man who Truly loves you would never leave your side not even once. You deserve that you and your child deserve that.

This relationship appears to be about him. Apparently you don't get a say? He takes every summer off from you and then you wait patiently for him to return in the fall.. Seriously?
Well, fourth times a charm, I say? If you keep taking him back then that's your choice and your problem. He seems to have exactly what he wants, so I guess there's no problem with him.
What about you? How many more rounds for you? I know you love him, but so friggin' what? Four years, seriously? You're smart enough to know THAT'S NOT LOVE.
Oh well, as long he keeps saying it, who cares if he ever shows it? OH, I hope you care enough to end this merry-go-round, he's never going to.

You can break that cycle by simply not responding when he is ready to come back.

I spoke to him last night and suggested that we forgive each other for everything so we could move on peacefully. He agreed and I feel much better today. I did tell him that I think his highs and lows in his personal;ity could be one of his problems and he agreed again. Anyway I'm just going to live my life because I have my daughter to think about. Thanks for the great advice guys!
