Thanks for holding down the fort all. I'm so glad you all came to my little pub. Hey Sneezy, were are the beer nuts, are we out already? Who spilled on my beautiful mahogany bar. Honestly, good help is so hard to find. :D

I went to get my eyes checked to see if I could get Lasik surgery. Well, it's a yes, and they had a cancellation for tomorrow, so guess who's getting eye surgery tomorrow? Yep, a reluctant, get away from my eyes with that laser, Alty. I'm a bit scared, but after talking to a few people who've already had it done, I do think I can handle it. The great thing. 20/20 vision guaranteed or my money back. Another great thing, life time warranty on my vision, with the exception of needing reading glasses later in life which they said was a given and not correctable.

Anyway, just thought I'd say a quick hi. I'm going to watch a movie with the kids. I'll be on tomorrow morning, but the afternoon will be shot. Sleep, sleep, sleep, as per the doctors orders. Sunday I will be going back to get my eyes checked and make sure everything went all right. So I probably won't be back on again until Monday.

I have a big back yard, Sneeze. How else would I be able to have farm-fresh eggs in the morning if I didn't have chickens?? The neighbors are getting a little upset when the rooster crows around 6, but it's time for them to get up for work anyway.

So, a guy walks into a pub...

He's had a long day on the loading docks and is hot and sweaty.

He looks around and he is the only one in the bar, so he orders a beer from the barkeep and goes and sits down in a private corner to relax after a tough day.

He takes a few sips from his pint, and all of a sudden he hears... Well hello good looking!

He looks around and doesn't see anyone, so he thinks it's just his imagination.

He takes another sip, and hears someone say... my, you're a fine looking gentleman, do you work out?

He again looks around and seeing no one, wipes his brow and passes it off to the long hot day.

He takes a few more sips and hears... will you be coming around often? you're easy on the eyes!

Well now he's starting to think he's lost his mind, so he calls the barkeep to his table.

He says to the barkeep... I've been sitting here minding my own business, just enjoying my pint, and there is no one around but you. I keep hearing voices. They greeted me, told me how fine I look, and asked me if I will be back?

The barkeep looked at him with a sly grin and said... No worries old man, it's the beer nuts, they're complimentary! :D hehe!

I have not applied yet. I will be taking my mcats September then applying. In the meanwhile, working in research for a year.

You're kidding me right? I'm on a waiting list for a hip replacement... how ironic is that? I injured my hip yrs ago, and started having probs with it just a couple yrs back. Some good days, and some not so good days. Been on pain meds, as well as other herbals and vitamins that keeps it from being too painful most days. I'm terrified of the surgery though.

Don't worry too much about the surgery... medicine's come a long way.

I've sat in on more hip replacements than I can remember... and 99% of the time, it went smoothly with no complications.

If you want to wait around (... 5 - 6 years), then I can help you out ;)

Haha... don't think it will hold up quite that long. It ticks me off because you usually hear about people in their 70's or 80's needing that kind of surgery. Any tips for holding out till surgery? New meds or vitamins that would be helpful? Already doing the glucosamine/condroiton, calcium... all the no brainer stuff. Arthritis is a prob now too!

Have you tried some physical therapy? People usually kick it off to homeopathic medicine, but I've seen hot water (jacuzzi) therapy work on a lot of patients with joint pain and muscle pain.

I've tried some physio, never hot water therapy though. I've tried laser therapy too. Expensive, and didn't seem to help much. Maybe I'll check into the jacuzzi thing! Hey, do you think Alty would let us have one in the pub? :D

I woke up to a scent that's too familiar. You see... I went out last night and got back around 3ish. I went to bed around 430am... and didn't wake up until 9. The thing is, my dog (pictured on my avatar) is a bit temperamental and will get pissy if I don't wake up at 730am to walk her. She can hold her pee/poo perfectly fine for 10 - 12 hours, but she just doesn't to spite me.

I... have been pulling longgggg stretches at the library. For some reason, with graduation around the corner (4 weeks left!), things just seem to pile up on one another.

How's everyone doing? I sure hope that Alty's doing OK... recovery time for gaining vision back after lasik's 24 hours... although fully recovery takes a few weeks... hope she's just resting up and reading.

Oh by the way, the hockey players name that I couldn't remember yesterday, that was my sis's latest is Jamie McLellan. Trevor Linden was one of her best friends too. We had a good laugh over some of the old stories. I was a bit of a bad girl when I was younger. I used to throw big parties at my parents house, and a couple of times the hockey team showed up. I remember wondering where a couple had gone one night, and went upstairs to look for them. There were Kelly Hrudey and Gordie Geddes passed out in my parents bed! :O. Oh, and Gordie puked on my shoes one night too! HAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah, Alty emailed me a couple times today. She got her protective lenses off today, and said she has been cleared for the computer, but she can't stay on too long until she can focus better. Might be a week or so till she's back to the same old Alty! :)
