Hi
I have been having light blonde highlights on my dark blonde hair for a long time. I have a full head of highlights and every month I'm paying £80.
I have got to the stage where I'm fed up with paying that sort of money every month especially when my hairdresser doesn't always get to the roots.
I know people use L'Oreal dyes etc and I now want to use a dye all over. I want to be the sort of colour as Jessica Simpson or Kate Hudson.
Some friends have suggested looking for a dye that says Natureal Blonde and other say Ash Blonde(as that gives a lighter shade). However I have some bleach highlights round my crown and have heard that ASH on blonde can look grey.

I would so appreciate any advice from hairdressers or you fellow blondies who have been colouring your own hair for a while.any brands you recommend etc.
Please help me save £80 a month-its draining my resources!
Thanks guys
X

You need to gradually bring back your hair colour to your dark blonde hair and start all over by having your hair dyed a slightly lighter but at a reasonale price. I recommend KIETH HALLS OR TONY AND GUY they won't be more than £80- no way. Or try being a model at one of these salons and don't be tempted to go any where cheap just to try and make ends meet. Don't GO THERE :/ you pay for beauty!

I'm natural strawberry blonde been bleaching and dying my hair for awhile now. I use to go to the salon all the time. I'm platinum blonde now. Yes ash will make your hair look blue if its already blonde. Garnier nutrisse has a really good light ash blonde color called white chocolate. I use to use it made my hair blue so I used john friedas light blonde shampoo and conditioner. The blue would fade out after a cpl days of a lot of shampooing. Wasn't worth it to me so I found a new color at sallys. I recommend bleach your roots then use a good deep conditioner like the one at sallys made by ion it's a protein conditioner. $0.99 leave in 15min. Rinse dry and then dye your hair the color you want it. Repeat the conditioning. A natural blonde that says nuetral are usually the lighter shades..
