I wear my hair pretty short and its very thick and curly. My husband has been trimming it for the past couple of months due to a sudden and unexpected drop in salary. In other words I'm broke! :)

What I like is sort of a "pixie" look. I like it over the ears and close to the head at the back and neck. The problem he is having is proportion of the top and sides. Also, my bangs are very curly and he doesn't know how to trim them. He uses clippers for the lower part of the back and the bottom line and uses a small trimmer to clean up the neck.

I hope this all makes sense. My hair doesn't look BAD, but we would like to have more confidence in cutting. Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.

If you go to the library you will find some very nice books that give outlined details with sketches or pictures. I learned how to cut my son's hair when they were small from a simple hair cutting book from the library.
