Am a little bit worried because i have not been able to trace with satisfaction, the origin of economics. There are different views. So i want to know if there is any widely acceptable way we can trace the origin of Economics.

Gosh! You waited a whole three minutes and no one had addressed your question? We are all volunteers here who give of our time to answer questions. You need to exercise some patience, please.

No, your not supposed to answer your own question. Some times it takes people a while to notice new questions here because this place doesn't operate like a chat room where you can see automatically what everyone is posting right away. Also, some people may be busy answering other person's questions.

I did a Google search using the following words: Origins of Economic Thinking. That is something that you could have done on your own. There are a number of websites that address how economics originated on the following link. Origins of Economic Thinking - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=Origins+of+Economic+Thinking)

I don't think that you will find an absolute pat answer to your question. If you are asking because this is some kind of homework question and If you are asking the question because you are studying out of a textbook, I'll bet that the answer that would be appropriate for you right now might be in the textbook. If you were asked to look on the Internet for an answer, then I have just done some of your work for you.
