Awww, our Zoois two hours away, wish it weren't haven't taken the kids yeat since we moved here. I must be a bad mom.lol

It is an hour and a half drive for us. We almost spent at least 3 hours there. Long day, but good. Joshua slept on the way there and back so he got his naps in. He was interested in some of the animals more then others and near the end of the day he just got upset, over tired. He did great though.

I am not sure what was his favorite. All I know is giraffes up and close were amazing and love the Gorillas. I think he liked anything that flys.

I haven't been to the zoo in a hamsters age. I will take the kids this year though. The nearest zoo is around 1/2 hour away, but it's pretty small, they do have elephants though, so that's a plus.

I got some cleaning done yesterday, took all the advice and got rid of some stuff. I'm a horder, can't throw things out, but CPAA (Cerebreal Palsy Assoc) called yesterday and asked for used clothing and other things, so I got a few bags together for them. I feel a bit better, but I've got more to do.

Hi you Alty, I am good, my parents are coming to my house soon, they have been staying in their motor home thingy, (I call it a full on house), so they come here in the mornings!
I am beat and want only to take a nap and not go to work tonight. On the other hand I will be starting days two days Mon and Fri) here pretty soon, and that is great! I still need to work out a few details with getting the other days as soon as I don't babysit any more, but that will all come together with time.
I haven't worked days in forever, we have always worked really hard to stay home with the kids, and so far it's worked! Things seem to be getting rather spendy lately and all the kids will be in school next year, so I think this is a good move. I am hoping to get a "better" job with the school district or the state, I don't know, maybe I can be a bus driver or something with benefits? Who knows, something always comes my way!

I HAD NO CHOICE... you guys know better than that dear. And, well this time she took more cash (but I understand that, that is all gone now) but she told me she is using the card already.

Really, she isn't bad at all in that area, (just when she gets the "bug") I have improved but I was the one who spent more than she. BUT it was ALWAYS for things that were needed , you know... hehe.

Yeah, with the economy, the best thing to do now is get cards paid off or down low...

Anyway, YES, she is due back at 7:20 pm, worried though, she is coming in on American Airlines and they are canceling flights like crazy for those wiring problems...

She called me at 4 this morning to say that she was boarding on British Airways to London Heathrow with a 4 hour layover then American to Chicago.

My dear, it HAS been Spring for almost a month now, I need it, I want it, AND I demand it... so there! Are you listening up there (I mean straight up).

Hello my dear friends. I hope you are all healthy despite some miserable weather conditions. I know what cold and wet or icey weather can do to a lot of us 'older' folks, so I really feel for you.

If possible, stock up of Vitamin E and lots and lots of Vitamin D. I have always used Vitamin D during the winter months as part of my survival package. With Firbromyalgia, arthritits and degenerative spine - it is important to have these supplements - and also Aspirin (if you are not sensitive to it). I also have a lamp that has a red bulb, gives warmth and this helps to ease the pain from 'constricted' muscles. Also a nice warm bath helps you - I use a whirlpool type mat that makes those bubbles just massage me in the tub. Unfortunately, I have no tub, so I have to use my daughter's when I visit her. My grandson does not like the noice the machine makes, but thinks grandma looks funny in the tub with her bathing suit. But it does wonders for me.

As far as spring cleaning, that's out for me this year, can't move much without having sever pain afterwards, but someone come in once a week now to help me with the basics, thank goodness. My doctor requested this assistance through my health insurance company and they approved his request. My movements are limited, but I won't let this drag me down - I always have been a fighter and will keep on fighting to survive for as long as I can - as long as I can still see my family and be in the comforts of my own surroundings.

I know I have not been here for a while, but you know that I am always with you, whether I am online or not.

Hello, Little Cheeks had his vaccinations on Friday. After a few hours of being home he started bawling and crying and would not calm down. Looked like he was in a lot of pain. Could not even walk. Gave him advil. He was better today.

It started snowing on the way home from the city. Just got back about half hour ago. Snow coming down pretty good but not sticking to the ground.

Well, pretty good so far, not a bad day, except the "glorious" weather. Taking it easy, just finished reading my two Sunday newspapers (and the comics). Marta and her sis went to run some errands.

I've got some reading to do prior to some business meetings set for next week, prep work.
85% finished with getting my office at home fixed the way I really want it to be.

But now, my theory goes to h*ll; THEORY: If there is a lot of "cr*p" on the top of your desk, the important STUFF (guy word for most everything) will always float to the top... hahaha

So, other than that, Marta and I are planning to take a walk. Need to wear gloves and a scarf but... whatever..

And so what is going on with you? (Sorry, I got carried away......with my day) How's your weather, how's the stock index, and oh yeah (haha) how's the price of eggs.......? (kidding my dear....you know that.)

I spent all day outside today, the weather was beautiful. The kids got filthy, and so did I, we had a blast. I love Spring (sorry Stringer, I'll send some your way, promise).

So all the snow disappeared finally Alt?

It actually didn't take long with the last dump of snow. But hey, this is Canada, could snow again before Spring is official. I hope we're done, I love Spring!

It was a wonderful 20 degrees celsius for most of the day. Love it!

I have to hit the cleaning too.
I bought the cleaning products Green Works.
They are made from coconut oils and I think they are attracting ants!
I'm going to have to go over everything I cleaned yesterday with my regular cleaning stuff to see if that fixes the problem.
That and go through every nook and cranny to see if there are any crumbs or something attracting them.

My cousin just called to tell me that her husband of 13 years asked for a divorce yesterday, 3 kids together, she's been ill for the last 10 years, he says he doesn't want to live with a cripple anymore. Ahhh, I don't know what to tell her, she's so upset. Maybe I should tell her to join AMHD, get advice from other people going through the same thing. Life is so hard sometimes.

Yes, since I have meetings and heavy duties planned for the rest of the week, I plan to do as little as possible today.

I do have the HVAC people coming today to do the spring check on my furnaces and air conditioners... so I get to relieve myself of about $475.00. But they check everything to make sure that all is well. And they check the hot water heater also for that price...

So, instead of Marta, I get to spend some money today... kidding, honestly... just kidding.

Hi Alty, For me it has, starts around early march here.
I've been doing yard work like crazy LOL.

Stringer, I just cleaned over everything.
I stopped letting my dogs have full run over my house.
They use to be my vacuum cleaner for crumbs or spills on the floor.
LOL, I know, I know, but they obviously did a good job.
I found a cereal marshmallow that had ants on it, hopefully by getting that up, they will no longer want to come in.

Goodness, I've traded a floor full of dog hair and dog dirt for crumbs and ants... can I win at all in this situation??
