Hi Tus, Ice skating? One of many things that I haven't mastered and gave up on. I can roller skate pretty well. I used to work at an indoor "Roller Rink". Tried ice skating 3 -4 times, nope not for me.

I am trying to use the time between now and Sunday when we leave to straighted up the many "piles" of paperwork in my office at home. I haven't seen the top of my desk in months... slowly, that is how it is going.:(

EDIT: We are leaving on Sunday the 23rd and returning Jan 3rd, driving; about 550 miles.

R, I will be within 2 miles of Clarridge, Pa when I am in Pa. :)

Our 11th graders were going to hand out presents at the local Salvation Army for a community service project. I had 3 students who decided not to go for the following reasons:

1. The salvation army is a loser organization
2. And I quote "What the hell has the salvation army done for me?"

So I decided that they should learn about the Salvation Army and I made them complete a presentation that they will give to the rest of those who attended when they return. One of the students actually said I am not doing this project because it is stupid, why should we help lazy people?

YES!! I thought that it was really, really good. Lots of suspense, special effects, and wow Will smith is one h~ll of an actor man... I saw the very first of these movies w/ Vincent price and it was very good (there was a second one also, but I didn't see it). Albear and R... you must go see this particularly if you like science Fiction and futuristic movies. They definitely did a great job with it and picked the right actor... wow You WILL like it, I hope..

My energy waxes and wanes so I have to make choices and the main ones are resting as much as possible so that I have energy for my family at present and the Holidays totally exhausted me. It feels that my relatives here all of a sudden want to spend more time with me too, and there is not that much of me to go around at present.

What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired, with little to do, on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again.
I said I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices, and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry.
I said that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.)
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me.
I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's butt, and a car hit us both.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard!
Alas, Wal-Mart won't let me shop there anymore but it was worth it. Maybe she won't ask stupid questions again...

What to do without P&B, well, since this is a ask and answer column, I suppose RP, that you haven't gotten a real clear answer, so here I go...
Feed the kids, go to work, do the house work, do a craft, get something cleaned out like those closets or the old clothes, donate them somewhere...
Get on with things that you had been ignoring, buy something you never thought you would... excersize, (I can't believe I just said that one)... do yer taxes, play a few games with the family, take time to say hi to people you should have said hi to a few months back...

Just to name a few things that I know I need to do or I have been doing!

Funny, I was meant to be one... my mother (who tried to abort me anyway) broke her water on a Saturday and I did not come until Monday, the 22d Jan - one day into the starsign - so you see, I was determined one way or the other to hang in and wait (was an 8 month baby) and to be who I am. How's that for destiny? The poor lady said I was a 'sandpaper' baby - poor mom. Haha, just as then.. and now - I like paybacks..

But honestly, there is more love than meaness in me still - that's what we Aquarians are good at - even if we don't receive as much love back - but we do get our rewards for the suffering in the end. That is something I truly believe in.

Yeah, I think you hit it on the head, I find it easy to love/like most people. But I too have that "other side" and sometimes the two are at very extreme polar distances, kind of scary at times.. hee hee.:D

Something unusual and perhaps coincidental occurred yesterday. As you may remember,I mentioned before that Mom passed a little over a year ago and she is missed. I was "re-saving" certain messages on my phone and the first one was her singing (at her very best); Happy birthday to me. Yes, it was from before and I have re-saved it many times. But My phone rang to tell me that I had messages that would expire if I didn't re-save. And the first one was her singing Happy Birthday... on my Birthday...

My wife said... "you know, she was an exceptional woman and she found a way to tell you that she loves you." "And that she will live as long as she is in our hearts...and that means she will go on for a very long time..."

There is nothing unusual about that at all. I can relate. She decided, after my step father passed that she was going to live life. And the last 15 years or so... she did. And she was a joy to be around. She traveled, stressed how our family should love each other and was always smiling and joking. It was clear that she intended to enjoy herself with her kids and 23 grandkids. She loved to smile, dance and give hugs...
