I searched and searched but couldn't find anything here onthis problem
Here's my problem -
Raised foundation/Slab Florida Home 1949 Construction
The junction where the tub overflow and tub drain meet looks disintegrated.
There is an area of slab cut away from this and the water is just gushing out soaking the sand/dirt. I am assuming the trap is buried under the dirt.
There is about 6 inches of vertical working area and about 14-16 inches horizontally.
I am NOT going to attempt this repair myself, unless there is some sort of miracle someone can come up with...
My question is - how much would a reputable plumber charge for this type of repair? What am I getting into? A second mortgage or just no Christmas for my kids (if its this I think they would rather not bathe... )?
