Hello, I am a 19 year old female. Even though I can orgasm during sex or other kinds of sexual activity with a partner, I am unable to orgasm when I am masturbating alone. I enjoy it anyway, but it would be nicer if I could orgasm.

When I was really young, maybe from the age of 6 and up, I masturbated, with my hands and other things. My parents found me once, and I am still ashamed and embarrassed about it. Could this add to my inability to orgasm? Any ideas or opinions would be greatly appreciated :)

It could... mental state is a HUGE part of a woman's ability to orgasm. Since you can do it through other activity I think you may have hit the reason why spot on.
