You have low self-esteem.
And this friend made you feel special. But in a maniplulative way. Why? Because she sensed you had low self-esteem. Damaged people are GENIUSES at that. They seek out people they can bring into their world - it makes them feel better.
I am not sure of your education level, but have you pursued a fulfilling degree, passion, career, or did you think that you were better just as a mom and dog walker? Time to look around and see someone you admire and your kids admire and you hope they can be like one day - and see what got them to that place. Learn and emulate that.
Depression is from a lack of power and a feeling of futility. Your life needs some GUTS...
Waiting around for a kiss from a woman who shared some stories is a bit... weak.
Can you push yourself? Get out of your comfort zone, and you will thank me later. Do something that is a bit intimidating. And look on the calendar on July 1. you will be 100% better... I promise.
OR walk the dog and feel sorry for yourself. That's not being a good role model. If you want to be LOVED... make yourself LOVABLE. Get moving. Start sharing and loving. So kids and friends will WANT to reach out to be a part of your life...
Ash,
Thank you for your insight... the dog walking is non negotiable... you do know what happens if you don't right?? :).
