Drank Friday Got tested today(Thursday), will I pass this EtG test?
    I am 5'3, 118 pounds, female.
I had five glasses of Franzia Merlot wine starting Friday night at 11, and ending at 4am Saturday morning.
I got a surprise EtG test this morning(Thursday) at 9am.

I have read it EtG cannot usually be detected past 80 hours, however this treatment center I go to to appease the courts, says that they have a 96 hour EtG test. I don't know if they are making that up or not, but I am worried that I may have cut close with 120 hours sober.

Thank you so very much for your time.

You should not test positive for EtG at that time span based on the amount of alcohol consumed. Also your rate of consumption is in your favor.

There are not different types of EtG testing. How long EtG is detectable is determined by 1) the presence of EtG, 2) the cutoff used by the laboratory.

If all EtG has been excreted from the body then the most sensitive instruments available to science cannot detect it. It's just not there. That is a matter of physiology and not instrumentation.

Once again if 5 drinks of wine (12.5% abv), consumed across 5 hours, produced EtG detectable above 100 hours (at any cutoff) then you will be a new entry into the scientific literature. It has never happened.

NOTICE: Any person or entity that is subjected to or relies on EtG testing should read this Advisory issued by the US Department of Health and Human Services, September 2006 and remains in effect as of date of this posting.

You will not test positive for this exposure. However, I am guessing (from their statement about 96 hour alcohol test) that they are using a low cut off, so be careful to avoid incidental exposure from other items... mouthwash, food, cleaning supplies, etc.

I realize I asked this question a long time ago.
But thank you for the reply, and you were (of course) correct, and I passed. Thank you.
