    Masturbation Addiction
    Hello I'm 13 years old and I masturbate. My friend got me into it about a year ago and I'm getting sort of sick of it. I masturbate like every 2-3 days and I just can't stop. I don't want this to become a serious habit when I become older because I know that I will struggle with it when I get older. I really want to stop by the end of 2009 at the latest, so if anyone has experience with this and stopped their own addiction or has advice, please answer before this stupid thing called masturbation can get out of my life for good.

    There is a downside that may help you decide. When you start having sexual contact with a girl of your choice you may not be able to satisfy her, or even you may not be able to satisfy yourself. You know why... because your masturbating technique is so predictable, spontaneous sex won't be. So think about that one, l3 year old and decide what you want. Good sex or masturbating to your own drummer for the rest of life.

    I am no expert on masturbation addiction but I do know there is nothing wrong with it... your body needs to get rid of sperm somehow... if not in the way of masturbation or sex then you will have the so called 'wet dreams'...

    It is natural for one to masturbate so I would not be too worried about it... every 2-3 days isn't that bad either

    No masturbation is a horrible habit and id rather not of started at all no matter how much sperm I have and no matter how good it feels. I just want to get rid of this habbit. Thanks for answering but no thanks.

    I am not saying, dendog, it is wrong, perfectly natural for young people, but could effect sexual performance later on if it is continued.

    I don't think that it's unusual to masturbate every two to three days. This is hardly what I would call an 'addiction'.

    I seriously would not worry about it or judge it, at 13 you have your whole life ahead of you and at this point have no idea 'what you will struggle with when you get older'.

    I'm worried that you're worried about something that is relatively normal and which is a part of most people's lives. Most people masturbate and they do it for a variety of reasons. Most adults will have masturbated when they are young and this generally has not affected their sexual relationships.

    Chill out and get involved with other things, once you're thinking about something else it won't bother you any more. Trust me, most of us do it!

    Its an addiction and I waaaanna get rid of it:P its just different to me and I sort of think its bad.

    Well I want to get rid of this habit now so I don't have to worry about it later

    It's actually not healthy to obsess about something that is normal and to think that it's bad. Sex is normal, masturbation is normal. There is nothing BAD about it.

    I don't really think you can get rid of this addiction unless you have some sort of operation perhaps to stop you getting 'horny'... when you get a partner and are having sex regularly then perhaps you won't masturbate as much

    Once every 2-3 days is not a lot for a kid your age. I'm sure you'll grow up to be just fine. You should study hard and make the most out of your life. Concentrating on your education should be one of your primary concerns. Everything else will work out with time. Most adult men did it at least that much when they were your age. Look around, that doctor, lawyer, mailman, construction worker, they did it too, and they're OK. So don't worry. Go do your homework. (just picking on you)

    It's not a habit. It's a behavior. It's behavior that ALL men and ALL women participate in for their entire lives. It's a GOOD behavior. Don't worry. You're perfectly normal.

    You're 13. You discovered sex. That's SUPPOSED to happen. You're a SEXUAL being. You're going to BE that way forever, unless you DO something to THWART it now. You sound like you want to DO that. I wouldn't. Thwarting your natural tendencies will make you crave UN natural tendencies... THAT'S not going to be good. No matter what you do, you will NOT stop yourself from being a sexual person. Stop beating yourself up, and ENJOY it. That's what it's THERE for.

    Once every 2-3 days is not going to hurt you.
    You are not suffering from an addiction, you are suffering from puberty, which is perfectly natural. We have all experienced this.
