    Withdrawel symptoms from chocolate?
Was just pondering, it is possible to get withdrawel symptoms from chocolate... I LOVE chocolate and eat it everyday, not a lot but everyday still. Haven't had any for a couple of days, have just been too busy to stop and think about it and have been bad tempered.
    What do you all think?:p

This answer is coming from a diabetic, yes you can have withdrawal symptoms from chocolate !

I lapse once in a while and really need a fix but I try to pick very dark chocolate which is lower in sugar content then milk chocolate. I am not saying this the right thing to do, I test my glucose every morning and evening so I know what it is doing.

I seem to be fine when I need a fix. So there you go, yes, it happens.

Thanking you, am glad its not just me... I'm diabetic also, very naughty I know. But have been for a long time so am also good at compensating and allowing for the daily "fix"... ha ha ha.
    Thanks again (",)

Chocolate has at least three chemicals that stimulate women's hormones

Chocolate craving is common, but chocolate is not considered one of the addictions which would mean it was classified a drug. The phenyethylene and anandamide contained in chocolate has anti depressant abilities, but you need to consider all chocolate has substantial amounts of sugar, which is why some people think chocolate is addicting. It's just a craving, like anything else when you want it, and don't get it, you get grumpy!

From a chocolateholic Dietican, we say... in moderation... Chocolate is good for most people in small amounts, it's a feel good desert. But people with health conditions, unfortunately they have to develop other ways to enjoy sweets. I tell people all the time to stay away from sweets, but you can reward yourself for a week of self sacrifice! (as long as you exercise while eat the chocolate!)

LOL... That shall be my mantra then... only eat choclate while exercising...

I was wondering the same! I usually eat chocolate a few times a day - whether that be in yoghurt form or whatever - however, over for the past two days I haven't eaten any chocolate whatsoever and I feel quite light headed! Oh, and I've drank a litre of water today, before anyone talks about dehydration ;)
So I was thinking the same thing; can you actually get withdrawal symptoms from chocolate, or is it all in my head and I just fancy a chocolate bar? :) :)
