Good morning goddesses and, Joe. I know the feeling very well. I'm out numbered by 3-1. although I would debate that at times bcause I've no problem raising my voice. They seem to fall in line that way including army.
There's a commercial on TV where birds rign the door bell and shut the sliding glass door. Because the window is cleaned with windex the guy can't tell it's closed and walked into it.
3 days before hubby left for Iraq, I walked into a plate glass wall. I had a huge black eye that ran from my eyebrow to my cheek bone. That was the last thing my husband saw of me before leaving.
I ran into a couple of men from his unit and they asked me if hubby did it, I said if he did, do you imagine he would be walking.
It took 4 weeks to completely heal but the looks were priceless. Telling it was even better.
I can't watch that commercial without laughing

I still think it would be a great idea if we all could meet just once. I feel like were become a band of sisters with ben and joe as brothers. The way we get a long makes me think of high school. Where we would all get together in the cafeteria. We have our own possey. AndLauren is the queen for starting it.

I can remember since high school how I wanted to visit England. The more I think of it, the more intense the feeling gets. Seeing the churches, the history and the villages. It's kind of a romantic wish for me.

How wonderful. I hear jane austen is buried there.
I love my country don't get me wrong. But its getting abit overwhelming at the moment. Everything is so mixed up. Just a different place or change of scenery sounds blissful

I know but need to make it better for our kids. I don't look at the bad but concentrate on the good around me. There are good people around. I focus on them. Like the ones I've met here.

Omg! I'm calling you by the wrong name. Where did I get the name lauren from. Sorry about that sweetie.

And yes Joe, I do believe she should want to be queen. She started this thread and brought all of us together. Sort of like the start of a new country. (non smokers, decaffientated and no take out subjects.) If I missed any newly given up vices, forgive me.
She can wear her crown as she slides down the stairs in the clothes basket.

I can't wait to upload pics of my boys. I so want to change that pic but need a nice one. I'm working on a new lap top so I have to up load the info off the desk top.
Your boy is adorable Joe. Treasure this time. Ryan just joined me and says Hello

Your wish is our command. The tiara looks more romantic and regal any way.
No Joe, we won't make you the queen but the position of court jester is still available.

You'd better keep popping in christine. I control the power of the clothes basket and the stairs.

    I didn't go :(

My husband surprised me on Friday with the new Vanguard game, so we played that together much of the weekend. I did laundry and dishes on Friday, and dusted today, but otherwise Mr. Synnen did all of the cooking and cleaning this weekend. It felt pretty good to just be a lazy wench this weekend!

Overtime again this week... everyone pray for me.

PS... I didn't try to go back and read everything I missed... ya'll were a bunch of Chatty Cathys! Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend, and are in good health and spirits!

We make our niece Lauren pretend to sneeze down the blocks when she's going to knock them all over . The great thing about being around kids is you get to play with toys you haven't even thought of in years, and end up having more fun with them than the kids do.

I just thought that I should warn you... my calendar today states that oysters, chocolate, strawberries, champagne, alcohol, anchovies, rhinoceros horn, snake blood, spanish fly and carrots are NOT aphrodisiacs. Shhhh... don't tell Mr. Synnen. I want chocolate strawberries and champagne for Valentine's day!

We don't have kids... makes a HUGE difference.

Plus... that was part of the deal when we started dating. We both were talking about pet peeves that we'd had with past relationships, and one of mine was forgetting important days, like Valentines, and birthdays, and anniversaries, etc.

My husband has never missed a single one, and I think it's due to that discussion.

I'm going to talk him into going out to dinner on Thursday, and the "one month anniversary" of our quitting smoking :P

We usually do silly things for it. One year, we exchange the AWFULLEST Valentines we could find... stuff like "I love you so much I even love your farts!" We laughed soooo hard. Most of the time, it's just an excuse to justify a wanted expense, rather than a needed one... one year, we got cell phones for each other, another year it was the DVD player.

Oh she isn't naughty just flipping trying hehehehehe she clonked her head about an hour ago its going to be a lovely bruise on her forehead to go with the scratch on her nose looks good doesn't it lol she is a very adventurous child with no fear at all.

I don't want to work today. I'll admit it. It's snowing outside, and yucky, and I just wish I were at home with a good book and some classical music!

I don't think I'll ever again get used to MN winters. I have a feeling that once our parents are no longer around, my husband and I will be moving someplace warmer again... so only 30 years or so more of ick weather!

Who is her favorite person? Is that something I've missed from previous posts?

I love watching toddlers dance. They are so carefree about it. We could take lessons from them!

    Laura

Hi, am a complete newbie so here goes!
Just wanted to offer you my support and let you know that stopping is totally do-able, one of the hardest things is to get to the point where you want to give up AND want to do something about it. I had to go cold turkey when I fell pregnant, then I went back to smoking after he was born. I am quite highly strung(! ) so like you used to have one to keep me calm! I just got to the point one day where I'd look at my littlun' and think to myself that I wouldn't get to see him grow up if I didn't stop smoking. This thought hurt me more than anything and it got to the point where every time I had one this was on my mind; I'd dream up heartbreaking scenarios of me having to tell my children that I was dying, because I had a habit that I couldn't break. So I went cold turkey again and managed to quit! Patches did work for my husband (free from the 'quit smoking clinic'). Not for me-i had to break my routine up e.g. normally I''d have a fag & a coffee before I went to work -i replaced that with changing to tea and waiting until I got to work to have it.
Anyway, sorry to blather on, didn't mean to write an essay, just wanted to say that if you really want to quit - YOU CAN DO IT!!
