Start, I give you credit not just for the 58 hours but trying to understand us. WE don't really understand us that much. But its fun to try. Anyone asks about the clothes basket ride, that's me or my son who actually tried it out down a flight of stairs.
Joe becareful about runnig around stores acting like a lunatic. My dad and I got thrown out of a store for playing around like that. True story
eBay is fun but be careful. Always research what you're buying and the person selling it. I literally got screwed on a pda I bought and the seller refused to take it back. They have since been banned.
A lot of stores do business there and they're pretty good. Christmas shopping was a breeze. So was amazon.com
I'm going out tomorrow to get my hair nails and eye brows done. Just for fun and treat myself.
The boys brought home their mother's day gifts. They were precious and the plants are really nice. They probably figured they could shiney up the apple since Saturday is allowance day. Hehe Just kidding. They're great kids.
Oh joe, becareful what you say in front of superbaby. I made the mistake of calling a bad driver an sob. I did use the unabreviated version. Which my son at the age of 2 1/2 repeated very clearly in a grocery store when he dropped a can of cat food on the floor.
But hey it could've been worse. He could've said what my niece said to my father one day.
Lets just leave the remark to your imagination.

Chippers, we usually use sleeping bags down the stairs. The funniest thing in the world. And you are right about Joe, sometimes you can get kicked out forbeing weird. Joe, be good. Have a great weekend everyone!

It is so much fun acting like a little loony sometimes. I love having fun that way, and usually make people laugh not cry.

Oh, Chippers. Personally my wife needs to watch her language more then I believe it or not. I am an angel in the language department. The only time it really truly comes out is hardly ever lol.

Chippers about the flower, I want you to pick one for me. Please. I am leaving it in your hands. I trust you will pick the perfect flower to plant.

    Good Morning one and all.

Chippers, your post just always make me smile. SOB :). Too funny. Chippers I would be honered, more than I could tell you, to have you plant a flower in my name, along with all these other incredible people. Okay, favorite. I would have to say impatients. The pinker the better. Purple is pretty as well.

May the sunshine brightly for all of you today.

My little guy got to sleep 2 hours later, all he did was cry and scream. His gums look too swollen. Oh, and I thought we were going to get off easy, but nature and Joshua had other plans. We were telling a neighbour yesterday he is pretty mild mannered and teething has not really been that bad of a process. Then Bang, it explodes to a big circus of a screaming in pain fest last night, n starting this morning too.

I hope my wife is prepared for it. She is already losing it lately and nothing really has been happening. She can be very impatient when things are not going her way, but what she needs to realise is with a baby expectations like that are impossible to keep, maybe you can talk some sense into her one day. I find she loses it or gets frustrated over the smallest things now. I am there trying to tell her to relax and calm down but that just might be making it worse.

That my dear is normal its frustration and lack of sleep and feeling like its you that has to do everything weather it is or not its hormones hunny, don't pick holes in her for it the best thing you can do is help her solve it in the nicest way possible she just needs a bit of tlc and is feeling like her only role in life is a mum its quite a shock to the system everyone feels it at some point.
When she gets upset or frustrated go put your arms round her and tell her you love her and thank her for joshua it's a nice boost trust me.

Thank yo Laura, I definitely needed somebody else's perspective on it. I tend to take it personal and I tend to want to deal with things and pick holes about it. Your right, I need to approach it differently. Thank you very much again for reminding me what is truly important and what will probably help her better.

    Oh Laura,

Just beautiful advice here. Joe, this will do it.

Last thing I want to hear when I am spinning, is "calm down, relax" . No matter how loving you say it, it just seems to fuel it even more. Makes it feel like what we are upset about, we are being silly for being upset, like we are being out of control. Which we may be LOL, but don't dare tell us that :).

Just beatuful advice from Laura. Hug her, tell her how much you love her and thank her for the beatufiul gift, Joshua.

Thank you both Christine and Laura.

Your both wonderful and I appreciate everything. I will defiantly do that a lot more instead of the calm down and relax bit.

I do not mean to be that way, but when the hormones are nutty and she gets crazy I just want her to relax and calm down. I like to be at peace.

I like everybody to be at peace. The thing is I know when mama gets frustrated everybody else feels it too.

I am going to go now and give Her a big hug and let her know how much I love her and our superbaby.

Have a good day everybody. Going to the city for a couple of days. Bringing back My wife's aunt, uncle and cousin for a picnic get together tomorrow.

Laura and christine are right. As a mother whose seen babies cry from time to time. We're used to the cuddle and kisses and rocking chair to help. But for those times that it doesn't work, I feel helpless and angry with myself because I can't take away their pain. Sometimes I feel like I'm failing at being a mom. I tend to let loose on the nearest person and that would be mr. chippers. Like you, he's very supportive and a loving husband and father. He also tends to take it personally feeling like I'm blaming him for failing as well.
It's taken a while to realize we aren't failing our children because we can't stop their pain all the time. And to be very honset the crying can get to you. But there is hope.
My personal remedy for teething pain worked 95% of the time. If Josh will take it. Put a pacifier in the freezer after you dipped it in water. It won't freeze but will get very cold.
If he's over 9 months, dip a Q-tip in honey and swab off the excess. Then paint his swollen gums with it. It's a natural anestheic and anti-inflammatory. Honey was once used ages a go to treat burn patients because of its natural pain releiving properties. My grandmother used it on my mother and my mother used it on me and my brother.
Thre's been a lot of talk about it hurting babies but I've never heard of one yet. We're talking about a small amount not the entire bottle. Also baby tylenol or motrin drops will work. But the cold pacifier is soothing to his little gums. Also give him infant gas medicine because all that crying will cause gas to build in his tummy.
Once he's calmed down and falls asleep LET him where ever he does. Even if it's a swing, stroller or crib.
Then you and super wife have a glass of asti and relax.
By the way, I've picked pink lilacs for your flower. Very fragrant and beautiful. My grandmother had a tree in her yard and I'll plant it for the both of you.
My this garden will be colorful and beautiful. Just like all of you are.

I love it Laura. It hits the nail on the head.

Good Morning everyone. I wanted to share this with all of you. It's a quote I had heard once before, and I came across it again. Just reminds me of all of you. You all have a very special place in my heart. Special hugs today for our Chippers and Synnen. We love you both bunches!!

I decided to mop the floor before my shower, so I stink still and am in need of a massage. I have only had one in my life, but I could use a million. We are going to Nana's today, I am going to look through her antique shop and maybe even pick something pretty out. Just to let you know, you guys have been a wonderful addition to my life. You are making a difference in someone's life (mine). It is a pleasure to know all of you. I have a hard time spitting thoughful words out sometimes so you might want to print those ones out.
My brother called from Alaska, I really want to go and say hi, I was raised there my whole life and moved to Oregon about 6 years ago. I love my family as they are still back in AK. I miss them all so much. I think I will take a trip to see them.
Hope you get one little ray of sunshine today CBW!! Hugs, Start

I lived in Anchorage from age 8 months to 27 years, I wanted out when I turned 9months. Isn't that awful. Not to say how much I hated it, it just wasn't where I needed to be. Love the senery and my family and all the memories that were made there. I just love my life here now and it works, you know?
Dustin, my husband has family here and was raised here, so we thought it would be a great start. I am pretty sure we were right.
My sister bought a house in Wasilla, it is so much different now, it is actually a little city now instead of the old "drive through" to get the last minute camping stuff. Walmart and everything.
Anyway, I love you guys, you have helped me through some tough days, and some of you have made serious impacts on the way I look at things. How can it be that I feel so much for you guys when I haven't even known you that long. Good friends are hard to come by. See you later everyone. HUGS, Start
