Hello,

I have to take a drug test this Thursday (urine and hair). I don't illicit drugs but every now and then (4-5 months) I'll smoke a little weed with friends. Nothing crazy. I recently went through a breakup and found myself smoking a little more than normal and now I am worried I am going to fail. Here's my story;

The last time I smoked was exactly a month ago and it was probably about a bowl. I smoked about the same a week before that. And the same a month before that. I work out daily and sweat like a beast. I am female, and have thick light brown hair.
What are my chances of passing?

Hair tests are designed to show habitual use. From what you admit to smoking, you will probably pass.
Weed is not easily detectable ( as compared to other drugs), in a Hair Test.

Here is a study of detection methods for weed. Make sure you read the paragraph on page 161 "Conclusions".

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample of hair, cut at the scalp line, will give a 90 days history. From the amount of use you describe I am fairy certain you should be negative.

Do you think I should even bother with the toxin wash shampoos? Or do those not work any way?

Don't waste your time or money. For the most part they work on the outside of the hair whereas the drug metabolite is on the inside (cortex) of the hair. I think you should be OK to pass.
