If someone took 3.5 mgs of adderall and 2 hydro 10s over the course of 30 days would a hair folicle test come back over the limits, possitive? - Just trying to figure out if 3.5 mgs adderall and 2 hydo 10s taken in 30 days would cause someone to fail a hair follicle test or would it be to low of a level?

Am I to assume that the amount taken does not have an impact on the test limits. For adderall the cut-off would be 500 pg/mg hair, and for the Hydos it would be 300 pg/mg of hair. This leads me to believe that it is possible to have an amount in the hair that is low enough to pass.

It isn't likely that either will be detected at the levels you describe. These are two separate class of drugs, opiate and amphetamine, as interpreted by the test. Therefore there is no cumulative or additive effect one to the other. Furthermore each has different physiochemical characteristics in relation to incorporation into hair.

Hair Drug Testing (HDT) while creating a longer detection window for drugs once absorbed falls short in that few drugs are readily taken up by the hair unless taken with some regularity over a period. That is the most important factor and of course the cutoff plays a secondary role as a drug must not only be present but present in an amount above the cutoff value.

Thanks for your response DrBill100. I took the hair test on Friday and have not been escorted out and am truly hoping that I will not be. I asked the tech when to expect the test results to come back and she said Monday or Tuesday since the lab would have the weekend to get it done.Do you have any thoughts on whether the hair test would/should be back yet.

The tech you spoke with must have been new. I don't know any that work on weekends at the testing facilities. It probably has a lab turn around of 5 days plus delivery time. Hair testing is time consuming.

3.5 mgs of Adderall? I thought the lowest dosage you can get is 5 or possibly 10... To go along with your question I was wondering if your dosage and usage was correct because I been taking adderall 10 mgs (little blue pill) for a couple months... I play baseball so it helps with focusing I would usually take around 20 mgs a day for baseball which I played everyday. So I took 20 mgs for a good 20 days straight I'm guessing. And probably a 10 mg pill here or there couple times a week to help stay focused on everyday activities. I haven't taking 2 since my last game which was beg. Of Sept. Now recently I found out I have to take a hair drug test as well and I'm wondering if I would be below the cutoff levels. Any information would help, and thank you.

I took a half of an adderall so probably 5mg or less like two months ago.
I went in for a hair drug test and physical yesterday for a new job, now just dreading the wait... do you think that will come back as a positive? I only did it once and never again because of this stuff..

A hair drug test is looking for drug abuse. There are also cutoff levels for each drug tested in a hair test... so u taking 5 mgs which is a very very low dose one time won't even show up on a hair test the mgs and usage are so low u have nothing to worry about u can stop worrying so much and take a breath... ive heard of people who actually are prescribed adderall who take up to 30 mg and day still passing without mentioning they are prescribed so u are all good

In my experience you should be good. The company that I took a screen for tested back 3 months, but 5mgs is very little and there is a very good chance you will be fine.
