3 days late and no period!
Hi, I'm 21 and I just had my little girl #2 on 11/11/06. I've been having very punctual periods since, as always, but... not this month. Me and my husband have been having sex, at least 3 times weekly with no protection. We don't mind having another one as we want 4. Anyway, I wake up with my period on the 6th of every month without skipping a beat and when I don't wake up with it (3 pregnancies/one misscarriage) I take a test and boom it's positive but not this time. I've taken a test on the 6th, 7th, and today and all negative but I've been so exhausted and have been getting headaches like I did with my daughter. I didn't even have my pms symptoms which I get pretty bad (moody, crampy, emotional). I stay at home, I don't have any stress. I've been eating healthy and excercising trying to get back into shape. I feel pregnant and my husband says I am and is already talking plans, I need to know either way. I don't know what could cause it other than being pregnant. Any tips?

Well, it is possible that you are pregnant. It is usually easier to get pregnant right after the birth of a baby.

Other than that though, it could be that you are late simply because your hormones are still trying to get back to their normal level after the birth of your baby, this can take up to a year for many women. Your age can also be a factor. Hormones typically do not level off until around the age of 28. Another thing is that, even for the most regular of women, 3 days is not really considered late.

If you don't have your period within the next week, you should do 2 things.

    1) Take another pregnancy test using first morning urine because the concentration of Hcg is higher in urine in the morning; and
    2) Make a doctor's appointment to find out what is going on if the result is negative or a prenatal appointment if the test is positive.

Good luck getting the result you want.
