I would like to know if I could purchase a visa and passport with a credit card for a person that live's in Ghana, I stay in the United States, I don't want to send money to the person, thinking it maybe a scam.

I have no doubt it's a scam. Have you seen this?

It won't stop at just visa and passport fees. Suddenly, you will be told there is a medical fee or luggage has been quarantined and must be bought out of hock or her mother is desperately ill and she needs money before she can leave the country.
I know what you are saying, I've heard them say all of what u've just said from women there. But this one has not mentioned anything about money, she has given me her address, also she has a phone and we talk on skype, but I do agree it may be a scam, can I purchase the passport and visa from here, with a credit card?
What part of PURCHASE don't you understand? No, of course you can't buy one in the US, and she is working with some men who are running a huge scam with her agreement, for a cut. You are SO clearly not getting it.
No, you can't pay by credit card from the US. You'll have to send cash.
One way to find out if this is a scam is for you to tell us how much she's saying a passport will cost.

Three day delivery of passport costs $70 US dollars.
Regular delivery service cost $35 US dollars and takes 15 days.
Surely your friend can afford that if she can afford a computer so she can skype with you.
I wanted to thank everyone for their input, this helps a lot of people in similar situations/predicaments.
I appreciate your answers and I will share them with my friend. Thanks again
