Briggs & Stratton 16 hp Vanguard
Hello all, I have a this 16 HP Vanguard motor that came on a Dosko stump grinder. My problem is that the fuel will weep into the block and fill my cylinders. It also drips out of some sort of metal intake line that has nothing attached to it. This intake does suck air as it will kill the engine if I plug it. As far as the fuel It does seem to slow or stop only if I shut the fuel off. Has anybody encountered this problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Happens all the time.. . You may have a gravity fed fuel system and pressure in the system pushes past the needle. You can replace the needle and seat, this will help but always shut off fuel supply when not in use.
