How to replace the mower blade belt on my Craftsman rider #917.272950.
My belt slipped off and I'm trying to put it back on. I can't tell from the manual how to configure it. I have the manual (obviously) and don't understand one thing and the picture is awful. I'm a 60 year old woman doing a man's job. My husband is disable so it falls on me. Can anyone help me with a clear diagram?

Last week someone I know had problems trying to get a new belt on a lawn tractor. They ended up calling the manufacturer and asking them. The manufacturer sent them an EXCELLENT diagram & instructions and they got the belt on in no time at all. That's where I would start, if I were you! Be sure to explain your situation!

    Hugs, Didi

Thank you. I e-mailed Sears and told them my plight! Usually my son-in-law does this for me (he is a mechanic!) But, he is out of town this week. Hopefully Sears can send me a clear diagram. I can usually do anything if I have a good illustration:)

Belt # 48 is belt that comes from engine to deck.
    # 47 is belt on deck. Hope this helps.
    Luck

First of all, thanks to all who tried to help. To update, I did e-mail sears and they e-mailed me back the website for the manual (which I had already downloaded from that very site). It suddenly hit me, I could enlarge the photo on the site (duh) and maybe see the configuration better! Eureka! It all came together to me and I went out and put the belt on tractor and my 1 acre lot is nicely mowed. Thank you!!
