I was talking to a friend and reminiscing about old cartoons ranging from capt'n planet to darkwing duck. Then I suddenly remembered this really cool cartoon I used to watch after school... the description is a bit fuzzy but here goes:

Was a guy (or a young kid?) who fell into some kind of bio-sludge thing making him into a sludge monster with super powers, and he went and fought villians... I think somewhere along the line, he may have picked up a few other sludge buddies or normal buddies that helped? I can't really recall except (in my head) the first episode I had was that he came out of a building, looked like a mix between the swamp thing and sludge.. and gained super powers that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(I think the show was really short-lived and in the 90s.)
