How can a doctor know if am a virgin or not?
Hi am from St. Vincent and am 14 years old I lost my virginity six months ago to my boyfriend we were having sex every night after that day but now we aren't so often. My mom wants to take me to the doctor to check for my maidenhead and am so scared. Would the doctor in my country tell her or he would keep it between us? Would my mom be in the room? Please help my you can also email my at (email removed for privacy) to answer me.

What country are you from ?

If you are not on birth control, your mom will soon know when you become preganant.

As for as telling your mom and her being in the room, that will depend on where you are at.

Sorrry but there are 1000's of St. vincents all around the world.

Just be honest with her. I'm 13 and I lost mine when I was 12. I told my mom and she didn't get mad she was happy for my honesty

The WORST thing you can do is lie to your parents. They will end up being hurt so much more if they find out not only that you've done something they don't approve of, but that you lied to them about it, will make them not trust you and leave them and you emotionally hurt for a long time. TRUST ME, my parents found out my sister had lied about her virginity and when she finally confessed it was too late and they knew she had been lying to them for a long time. The truth may really make your mom upset and angry, but it will be worse when your parents won't trust you in the future for not telling them.As far as the doctor confidentiality goes, I don't know if that will be up to you/kept private from your mother because you are under 18 so legally that creates an issue...

Your hymen can brake just doing everyday things not just sex. Sports, biking tampons and so on. So don't worry about that, but if your doctor does think your having or had sex at some stage ask him or her to let you talk to your mum first and be straight up with her it will make your life so much easier
