Re-file is it possible for old returns?
Hello! I am wondering if I can go back and re-file my 2004 return - it was filed online via TurboTax and I ended up owing a substantial amount of money, and I have never prior or after had to pay in any money? I am wondering if there is a way to go back and re-do or re-submit the already submitted taxes for that year? Thanks!

You should be able to file an amended tax return. The normal statute of limitations is three years from the due date on the return. For 2004, the due date would have been April 15, 2005... so the deadline to file an amended tax return for that year would be April 15, 2008.

You don't have much time, but you are still within the three year filing limit.

Here is a link to a form that you would need to file.
