Judgement taped to door that's not for my family... how to contact them? What to do?
I had a judgement taped to my door today that does not belong to me or my husband & the only # listed on the internet for this constable that posted it is a fax #. I'm guessing it is for unpaid rent... but not really sure. It looks like the case was my now landlord that I have had for going on a year now vs this guy Thomas Smith. What should I do? I don't want this person to not know about their judgement... because it says they will be charged fees until it is paid starting today...

You notify your landlord, and mail the judgement back to the court that it was delivered to the wrong address.

But again, if that is the last known address, this is how they do papers, so it may as far as court is concerned legally served, since it was posted at the last listed address

You can mail it back to the Clerk of Courts with a short letter from you stating that you live there and not the party in the suit. Then it will be up to the Plaintiff to figure out where this party has moved to.
