Statute of Limitations for physical abuse
I need an exact answer on how long the statute of limitations is for the state California, Los Angeles County. What if both parties have abused each other? But what if they are in court for only one person at a time and there was never any reports made on the other at the time of abuse. Physical abuse can be very small, like spiting. I didn't know that. I thought so long as you did not lay a hand on the person that is was not physical abuse.

Physical and Spousal abuse has because so strict in California, they say that California has the strictest laws in the states. Even if you say something like "I'm going to kick there butt, not really meaning it so another person and they say it too like a couple of young people that it can be considered a threat of harm.

I am not interested in the small claims. I am interested in the statute of limitations on physical abuse that was never reported and that there is only hear say to a third party and there is a conspiracy to get back at that person or commit knowingly and through deceit? There are other ways of proving the actions through surveillance that is going on at the time, but they do not want to come forward or admit their presence.

    Hello full:

There are TWO statutes of limitations - civil and criminal. If you want money, go see a lawyer and he'll tell you whether you have a case. If you want them to go to jail, call the cops. They'll tell you whether you have a case.

Generally, for misdemeanor offenses, the statute of limitations is 30 days.
