I am gay and in love with my best friend but he said he's straight
Hi. I have been in lobe with my best friends, practically since the day we met. He knows everything, about me being gay and being in love with him. He says he is really sorry that he doesn't feel the same way because he is straight. I have tried so hard to move on. I have tried dating other guys but it just doesn't work. He makes me so happy when others cant. He makes me feel comfortable while with others I'm shy. He is understanding about everything and that just makes me like him more. I have asked for signs to who I belong with and they all point to him(im not kidding or over exaggerating) Please help me on what I should do. Should I fight for his love or move on? If so. How?

He said he's not gay and he doesn't feel the same way about you. If you "fight" for this, all you're going to do is wind up pushing him away and then what?

Give it up. He said no, so forget it and move on. You can't make him gay. What about if you had a female friend who was hot for you and she kept pushing the issue? Would you turn straight for her?

Fight for his "love" you are what make people dislike gays, wanting others not to just accept you but change. So if it is so easy for him to turn gay, why don't you just turn straight and start dating women. See, it does not work like that. You will soon ruin even the friendship if you do too much. If you can't get "over" him, then stop seeing him, stop contact and move on with a person you have a chance of dating.

I agree with that. It does seem to be a problem that I am seeing a lot of.

My best friend is gay, we were joking about a male Zumba instructor taking his shirt off and showing his abs today. We can be good friends, even joke about men and women like guys would just joke about women, since I am OK with joking. I going to guess ( hopefully) this is a somewhat young teen , who is having issued with understand what guy friends are all about.

He is about to lose a great friendship because he can keep his lust under control.
