    Kenmore Dryer model 110.96272100
Please help: My Kenmore dryer has been shutting itself off after a few minutes; before completing its cycle, it will restart when pushing the start button. But will shut off again after a few more minutes.

Did you ever figure out what the problem is? I have the same model dryer and just yesterday, my dryer is doing the same thing.

    Thanks

    Diagnostic Guide Link
I found service tech diagnostic guides (PDF format) during an online search. This includes instructions on putting the dryer into test mode in order to check switches, etc. Here are the links:

    The motor is bad.

This is what I believe is wrong with my Kenmore model 110.63022100 dryer. I researched enough to find that if it starts, heats and tumbles with possibly some noise and then shuts off after 1 or more minutes it is the motor.

I found the lint area inside the dryer was full of lint. It took me months to figure out how to fix it but 15 minutes to fix. There are 4 or 5 screws holding this plate on, accessible from the front. Do not have to move the dryer. I disassembled then vacuumed, then reassembled. Been working great ever since my 2007 post. No cost at all, just some labor. No new motor.
