If he is on house arrest and runs away he will be charged with escape. That is an instant violation right there. And no, he can't just stay away until his parole is over. Doesn't work that way. Once he is caught he will spend his time in prison. All of it including the new escape charge. The warrant for this person's arrest will never go away either regardless of where he is or how much time has lapsed since he "ran away". Don't do it. You will have more problems if you do run away since every time you want to renew your driver's license, every time you are stopped by the police for anything your name will be run and the warrant for your arrest will come up. Oh, I almost forgot if you want to board an airplane you'll get stopped and arrested having that pesky warrant out for you as well. Do you really want to run from the law for the rest of your life or do you want to live as a hermit? Probably not. Facing the house arrest and doing it is much easier than being in prison anyday if you ask me. If you did run away and you were caught you would not be eligible for parole again period. You will be doing every single day of your sentence.
Thx twinkiedooter, I have told my boyfriend that it wouldn't be that easy. He has been on house arrest for almost 120 days and his PO isn't helping hiim. She never answers his questions about when he can be released.
He will violate his probation. They will issue a warrant for his arrest, and it is almost for sure, he would go back and have to do the entire parole time in prison
You could tell him that it would be easier, and much more cost effective, to just check himself into the local prison.
