    Cost to cut down tree
I have a 60 foot pine near my house and I want a professional to fell the tree, I will do the rest. There is plenty of room on the property, I just don't want it to fall on the house. How much should this cost?

At most it would require a come along, the tree does not have much lean

You should call several tree cutting companies in your area and get several estimates. A large tree like that will also need stump removal as well.

    Ball park $1000+.

You have a lot of variables:
Some might be can a bucket truck be used.
    Stump diameter.
    Hauling/chipping.
    Proximity to a structure.

Trees are generally cut down by using climbers and/or a bucket truck.
Each branch is held by a come along from a higher elevation in the tree.
The branch is cut and caught by the rope and lowered to the ground. It's then cut into manageable pieces and shreaded.

It would be dangerous to just cut the base of the tree and let it fall.
